Bauer Hockey a manufacturer of hockey equipment will launch a new full line of products in spring 2016 that includes the industry's first goal pad with one-piece construction and the all-new Supreme 1S skate.

Supreme 1S OD1N was developed in 2014 with Lundqvist as part of Project OD1N, a technology-driven initiative to design the most innovative equipment possible for Bauer athletes.

“The Supreme 1S goal pad incorporates C.O.R. Tech Skin Technology, the industry's first true, one-piece construction,” the company said in a press release.

“The result is a more consistent feel, a higher coefficient of restitution that kicks rebounds farther away from the net and a weight savings of more than one pound for the lightest pad on the market,” it added.

Curv composite technology is utilised in the thigh area to add rigidity and ensure a tight five-hole seal, while 37.5 Technology, an advanced moisture management fabric helps keep athletes dry and cool.

“Fabrics made with 37.5 Technology dry up to five times faster than similar materials and help regulate the core body temperature to allow athletes to perform at their best,” Bauer noted.

Other new products include the Bauer Supreme 1S Skate, which features C-Flex technology on both the tendon guard and the tongue, that allow a player to have a soft, mid or stiff flex in these areas.

The Supreme 1S skate comes with the Bauer Speedplate, a fully mouldable custom foot bed that maximizes balance, and the Tuuk Lightspeed Edge holder.

Another product is the Nexus 1N skate, which utilises 3-D lasted Titanium Curv composite to maximise performance and durability with a lightweight feel.

It also includes 37.5 Technology and a Form-Fit Lite felt tongue to provide a comfortable and dry fit and the premium tongue features a Curv insert to provide a unique and classic flex profile.

The Bauer Supreme 1S Stick is ideal for the power player that unloads explosive one-timers and heavy slapshots and uses Monocomp Technology, Bauer's process that ensures performance, consistency and balance.

“The stick features Maximum Power Kick (MPK), an all-new geometry with a lower taper initiation for maximum energy output with minimal effort,” Bauer informed.

Its Power Sense Core 2 blade is constructed with next-evolution technology that integrates TexTreme carbon fibre on the outside of the blade, reducing weight and maintaining key dampening features.

The new Nexus protective lineup provides a volume fit and a classic look with advanced technologies to maximise protection and also has 37.5 Technology to keep the player's body cool and dry.

In targeted areas, such as the chest, bicep and shins, the Nexus 1N features Seven+ Technology, a moulded multiple impact management system designed to withstand repeated impacts.

It includes multiple adjustment systems, including the Tune Fit strap and Free Glide Arch, to help customise the fit for each athlete and ensure ultimate coverage. (AR)
