Met Gala 2024 draws celebrities in historic & innovative styles

This year's event, themed after J.G. Ballard's 1962 story ‘The Garden of Time,’ invited attendees to explore the intersections of time and beauty. The theme was vividly embodied in the night's dress code, urging the stars to don attire that mirrored the ethereal and timeless qualities of a garden suspended in time.

The gala was co-chaired by notable figures including Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny, Chris Hemsworth, and Vogue's editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, each bringing their unique flair to the event. The evening saw a parade of fashion-forward celebrities, each interpreting the theme through their distinctive styles.

Cardi B turned heads in a billowing Giambattista Valli gown, which captured the audience with its layered elegance. Lana Del Rey opted for a custom Alexander McQueen piece, enhancing her look with tree branches that added a touch of whimsy and danger. Gigi Hadid was a vision in Thom Browne, perfectly aligning with the event's theme while maintaining her own style.

Jennifer Lopez shone in a custom Schiaparelli haute couture gown that highlighted her glamour with modern twists.
