Italian luxury fashion house Valentino, a renowned luxury fashion house, and its esteemed creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli, have made the mutual decision to end their collaboration, according to Piccioli’s latest Instagram post. Piccioli, who has been a pivotal figure in the company for 25 years, took the reins as creative director in 2016.

During his tenure at Valentino, Piccioli was celebrated for his innovative designs and his ability to blend modernity with the brand's rich heritage. He dressed notable stars such as Florence Pugh, Rihanna at the Met Gala, and Zendaya, Emily Blunt, and Carey Mulligan for the Academy Awards. One of his most significant contributions was the introduction of PP Pink, a vibrant hue that became synonymous with the Barbiecore trend, showcasing his influence on contemporary fashion culture.

Born in Nettuno and holding a degree in literature from Rome University, Piccioli began his illustrious career with an internship at Brunello Cucinelli. He later assumed a critical role at Fendi alongside Chiuri before making his mark at Valentino. His departure marks the end of an era for Valentino.

“Not all stories have a beginning and an end, some live a kind of eternal present that shines with an intense light, so strong that it leaves no shadows. I have been in this company for 25 years, and for 25 years I have existed and lived together with the people who have woven with me the plots of this beautiful story that is mine and ours. Everything existed and exists because of the people I met, worked with, shared dreams and created beauty with, built something that belongs to everyone,” said Piccioli in the Instagram post.
