Fashions brands that landed on the third, fourth, and fifth spots of the Lyst Index are Moncler, Valentino, and Loewe respectively.
Versace is the fastest riser of the quarter, rocketing five spots up the chart to the eighth position. Searches for the brand increased 44 per cent in the days following the Fashion Week 2023 (FW23) shows hosted by Donatella Versace in Los Angeles on Oscars weekend.
In the 17th place, Skims makes its debut in The Lyst Index’s hottest brands ranking. Since its launch in September 2019, Kim Kardashian’s shapewear brand has become a cultural and corporate phenomenon, reinvigorating a dormant category and reaching a $3.2 billion valuation.
The new Breakout Brands for the first quarter (Q1) of 2023 as per the Lyst Index are Khaite, Magda Butrym, and Ann Demeulemeester.
Khaite recently opened its first flagship store in New York. The brand’s trending product is the Liliana satin mini dress with searches up 10 per cent this quarter.
Magda Butrym recently dropped the Magda bag. The brand’s trending product is the floral mini dress with searches up 76 per cent this quarter.
Ann Demeulemeester’s Ludovic de Saint Sernin recently showcased his first collection as creative director. The brand’s trending product is the Stein leather boots with searches up 17 per cent this quarter.
Uniqlo’s round mini shoulder bag is the hottest product of the quarter. Retailing at under $20, it’s the cheapest product to ever be featured in The Lyst Index. After going viral on TikTok and generating over 59 million views on the platform, it sold out multiple times across multiple colourways. On the opposite end of the price spectrum, Rick Owens’ $625 Kriester sunglasses have become a favourite among fashion shoppers.
