British retail company Frasers Group, which owns Sports Direct and House of Fraser, has announced that it has completed acquiring five of the remaining seven premium fashion brands as a result of its deal with JD Sports. The terms of acquisition of Cricket, Tessuti, Scotts, Giulio, and Choice were declared on December 16, 2022.

While the acquisition of the Rascal Clothing brand will not be followed through, Frasers Group is expected to make another announcement regarding the takeover of the remaining brand Topgrade Sportswear, which includes Get The Label in some time, the company said in a media release.

Frasers Group had bought JD Sports Fashion’s interests in several fashion brands which included Base Childrenswear, Choice, Clothingsites (including Brown Bag Clothing), Cricket, Giulio, Kids Cavern, Missy Empire, Nicholas Deakins, Pretty Green, Prevu Studio, Rascal Clothing, Tessuti (including Xile), Scotts, Watch Shop and Topgrade Sportswear (including Get The Label). The deal was valued at around £47.5 million.

The completion of Frasers Group’s acquisition of the eight brands and the debt was carried out on exchange. The five earlier premium brands acquired earlier have now also become part of the Shirebrook-headquartered group.
