Sensoria Core is of the size of a quarter, weighing less than 7 gram. It provides battery life of more than 24 hours in spite of constant use, and snaps effortlessly into the smart running shoes. It fits into its dock at the back panel of the shoe. The device has a long lifespan and is reusable. It can be transferred to user’s shoes when purchasing a new pair.
The smart running shoes are useful for distance runners. They provide detailed visual and auditory real-time biometric feedback to the runners. The artificial intelligence powered coach, Mara, will talk to users and detect crucial core metrics including modulation, foot landing, and will teach users to become a better and more efficient runner while helping them to reduce the risk of injuries.
As a user runs, the pressure sensor-enabled shoes combined with the Sensoria Core provide key metrics. The small hardware features an accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer. When combined with the textile pressure sensors in a smart shoe, users will also be able to measure contact time on ground, and impact forces in addition to pace, distance, time and calories burned. The wireless device connects via Bluetooth to the Sensoria Run v2.0 mobile app.
“While products like Fitbit count steps, the most important metrics in a run are pace, cadence, foot landing and the impact that is generated each time one hits the ground. One wants to protect engine: legs, knees and feet. With the new Sensoria smart running shoes, one will get valuable and accurate bio-metrics to improve with each consecutive run as well as run longer and healthier,” stated Davide Vigano CEO and co-founder of Sensoria.
