Three production sites—for knitwear garments, knitted fabric and yarn—will operate there.
A $2.6-million export-oriented garment factory with an annual production capacity of 2.1 million pieces is expected to open at the end of the year, generating 800 jobs.
An $18-million unit to produce knitted fabric is scheduled to open by end of the first quarter next year, generating 300 jobs. It will produce up to 20 tonnes of fabric daily, a news agency reported.
A $3.5-million spinning mill with a production capacity of up to 15 tonnes of thread per day will start operating in the third quarter of 2025. It will employ about 150.
