The project, construction of which is expected to get completed in 2020, will produce 700,000 MTPA MEG.

The project will come up in Jubail Industrial City located in the east of Saudi Arabia, 100 km north of Dammam.

“We are eager to provide the finest plant for Saudi Arabia,” a Samsung Engineering spokesperson said. “With JUPC’s trust and our proven track record in EO/EG plants and Saudi Arabia we will provide the best services possible and looking forward to work with United for many further years to come.”

Samsung Engineering is the one of top EG plant builders globally, having already delivered 16 plants in total. Samsung benefits from the track record and experience of delivering 27 projects to Saudi Arabia, 22 to SABIC related companies including United. Further, during the last 10 years Samsung Engineering built EG plants around the globe, in countries like the US, Malaysia, Thailand and India. (RKS)
