The GDP per capita was 176,589 lira and $10,655 at current prices in 2022. First estimation of GDP with chain linked volume index (2009=100) increased by 3.5 per cent compared with the same quarter of the previous year in the fourth quarter of 2022, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) said in a press release.
Seasonally and calendar adjusted GDP with chain linked volume index (2009=100) increased by 0.9 per cent compared with the previous quarter. Calendar adjusted GDP with chain linked volume index (2009=100) increased by 3.5 per cent compared with the same quarter of the previous year in the fourth quarter of 2022.
GDP increased by 106.2 per cent and reached 4.8 trillion lira at current prices. GDP realised $262.669 billion in the fourth quarter of 2022.
Exports increased by 9.1 per cent, while imports increased by 7.9 per cent compared to the previous year’s chain-volume index in 2022. Moreover, exports decreased by 3.3 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2022 compared with the same quarter of the previous year in the chained linked volume index; imports increased by 10.2 per cent.
