Demand for propylene however remained dull in Asia due to steep plunge in global crude rates, falling prices of naphtha and a bearish downstream PP market. Several producers of propylene withdrawn from the spot markets and were concentrating on contract propylene sales. Several producers are planning to shut their plants for maintenance which would help to ease the current bearish pressures in the region.
