Viscose prices soared in the last two weeks in China, in line with raw material prices. Viscose staple fibre price continued to have strong momentum in the Asian region. Viscose staple fibre market was broadly stable, but some downstream plants held a wait-and-see stance lately due to rapid price increase of Viscose staple fibre. Viscose staple fibre market presented unfavorable sales during the second half of this last fortnight in the Chinese domestic market, as some plants faced resistance after they raised offers and downstream plants were not so active to take viscose staple fibre.
