Wool Highlights from 01-15, Mar 2010

Wool prices did not significantly change during the first half of this last fortnight in Australia with demand from China weaker than expected in the post-holiday period. Buyers for China were again dominant, followed by buyers for Taiwan, Europe and India. Wool prices did not move during the second half of this last fortnight in Australia, in local currency terms, reflecting a balance between a weaker demand and a lower wool offer. The market finished on a good note with the EMI and other Indicators well up in US and Euro currencies due to the appreciating exchange rates.
