Nik-Naks Kenya

Profile / Brief Description :
We are a self-help group of Female House-Heads. We buy kikoy fabric rolls from the factories in Kenya, cut them into sarong/pareo sizes, hand-knot them and supply them locally and abroad. We also design kikoy bags, kikoy towels and kikoy floor/scatter cushions.

This project was started by Nik-Naks Kenya but as participants, we, the employees, have benefited as follows;

a; we have improved our confidence and self esteem since Nik-Naks Kenya creates a sense of ownership and responsibility

b; we have broken away from bonds of poverty through our own hands and exited a life of charity dependency

c; we have been transformed economically and socially, we manage our own families, our own future and our own fate.

d. we have experienced freedom through enterprise
