We are having stock of 21 Club Horseshoe Money Clips.
Size : 2" L x 1 3 / 4" W
Description : Historic money clip from the famed 21 Club in New York. The club opened as a speakeasy during Prohibition and was raided many times, although nothing was ever pinned on the owners. It hosted such notables as Bogart and Bacall, Ernest Hemingway, Alfred Hitchcock, Tom Mix and more, and many colorful stories about naughty goings-on can be recalled by patrons. The club is now a restaurant and still exists at its original location. The money clip is marked "Hayward", although similar ones have been seen marked with the Bohlin mark, and the Keyston Bros. mark. It is formed in the shape of a sterling horseshoe, with 10k gold toe, heel and nails. The number 21 is overlaid in sterling in the center. A wonderful piece with great history.
