Description : This is the same weight and weave as German wool used on field gray and black uniforms. It was produced in the late 1940's and it's reasonable to assume that the similarity stems from the Swiss making numerous products for the Wehrmacht during the War. The color is bluer, similar to the color used by the German Police. It would, indeed, make excellent police uniforms. Years ago, we had some success overdying Swiss tunics with Rit "Seafoam Green" and achieving a dark, but decent field gray.
