Material digitisation technology has earned its place in mainstream conversations in the fashion industry, but its role in achieving higher profitability and sustainability still might sound hypothetical to some.

There are real-world examples of companies that are successful at using material digitisation to help streamline processes, reduce waste, and unlock design possibilities.

We are proud to share some of our customer success stories, showcasing how Vizoo’s cutting-edge solutions have transformed the operations of leading fashion brands and manufacturers, helping them drive both sustainability and economic success.

Artistic Milliners: Enhancing Design Precision & Client Experience while Reducing Waste

Industry: Apparel, Denim | Location: Pakistan | Vizoo Client Since: 2022

Artistic Milliners, a global leader in denim manufacturing, drastically reduced the need for physical samples, minimising waste and cutting down on material costs through the strategic implementation of their digital product creation process. Key to this was adopting a highly precise and interoperable material digitisation workflow using Vizoo material digitisation solutions.

The high precision and lifelike quality of Artistic Milliners’ digital twins enabled the company to present their brand clients with exact digital representations of their textiles.

Plus, because their digital materials seamlessly integrated into their clients’ digital product development workflows, they can onboard various brand clients no matter the variances in 3D CAD software.

Amber Isaac, DPC Lead at Artistic Milliners and Star Fades International, notes that the technology has not only accelerated their workflow but also improved the quality of their digital assets, providing clients with highly realistic material simulations:

“We wanted a smooth automated workflow that would give us accurate results that are true to life and photorealistic. And, of course, we did not want to see any obvious repeating texture features in our digital materials. We needed seamless, natural tiling. Vizoo’s xTex technology demonstrated lightning-fast capture speeds, impeccable output quality, and the first-hand experience of other clients already benefiting from Vizoo technologies were the reasons for our final decision. As a result, we have successfully implemented Vizoo’s material digitisation solution at our Pakistani headquarters in 2022. More to this story here.

JML Apparel, industry leader of designing, developing and manufacturing quality soft trims, decided to dive into professional material digitisation acknowledging that digital representations of their materials could strengthen their competitive advantage.

Capitalising on Vizoo’s xTex scanner, JML’s materials could be digitised quickly and easily while maintaining a high level of quality. This highly efficient process enabled JML to build up their library in a noticeably short time.

Scaling up the production of digital twins revealed another necessity: managing and sharing the material data. To make the assets easily available to its clients, JML set up its own cloud platform.

The company now offers a 3D online portal, making its soft trims easily accessible to its users via a simple registration process. The data is used for the clients’ apparel design and development process to support rapid design iterations, improve accuracy, and expand design capabilities. Jenny Jiang, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at JML, shares: “Thanks to the high-class material digitisation tools from Vizoo, the 3D library portal provides unparalleled quality data to our clients; the instant availability of digital trims has dramatically reduced the time for product choices.”
