Everyone has their own favorite television andmovie stars that they keep up with on a regular basis. I know when I was a kidgrowing up Arnold Schwarzenegger was like an idol to me and I would oftenwonder what he was doing at the same time I was and I would often wonder wouldit would be like to be him. It seems like everyone is interested in knowingwhat the latest news is on certain celebrities, such as who they are dating andwhat are the latest fashions they are wearing. One need only look at the mediahype surrounding Paris Hilton anytime she is involved in anything to know whatI mean. Some people have to know everything that is going on with her, otherscould care less.

Celebrities and fashion designers are cashing in on this phenomenon by collaboratingto design clothing lines endorsed by the celebrity. There are many people wholike to dress like their favorite celebrity, girls in particular. How manygirls did you see dressing like Britney Spears at her peak?

Most celebrities can't even get out of their driveway without being surroundedby fans and paparazzi.

This makes it difficult to have a normal life, indeed many wish they could trade their celebrity for a normal life while manyregular everyday people think that they would rather have the life of a starbeing showered with attention. It is this type of person that usually thinksthat dressing like their favorite star will help them get attention.

Famous people in most cases realize the influence they have on many thingsincluding fashion and are taking steps to take advantage of it. Most top starsare well known for their fashion choices and the award shows are a big showcasefor the latest in style and fashion in the world. You don't have to look far tofind a celeb being interviewed and told how trendy and fashionable they are.Since the average individual isn't normally complimented in this way they tendto think that if they adopt the style of the star they love they will becomplimented as well.

Some think that being so obsessed with the fashion choices of the stars is nothealthy and that it may indicate some kind of condition such as low selfesteem. While this may be the cases some of the time I don't think it is forthe majority of people. I think that most people want to be admired andcomplimented. Like anything of course it can be carried too far. The rich andfamous have virtually unlimited resources to buy whatever they want, theaverage person does not. If one is so obsessed with fashion that they dothemselves financial harm to stay in the latest styles this is not healthy.
