Abstract


In this study, the author has tried to explore thecomplementary effects of economic crisis on Indian retail sector. In thisconcern, I explain the concept of retailing, economic crisis and proposedstrategies to cope economic crisis for the retailer. I argue that failing totake the effect of economic crisis into consideration, the Indian retailer may undergofor long term losses. Moreover, I provide some strategies to face this crisis. Thisarticle provides information about decision making strategies of Indianretailers to cope up with economic crisis. The paper suggests strategies to beadopted by Indian retailers to cope with the economic slowdown, to maintainmarket share and profitability.
