Aerospace comprises the atmosphere of Earthand surrounding &sec=article&uinfo=<%=server.URLEncode(2473)%>"title="Outer space">space.Typically the term is used to refer to the industry that researches, designs,manufactures, operates, and maintains vehicles moving through air and space. The aerospace industry andmanufacturers unrelenting passion to enhance the performance of commercial andmilitary aircraft is constantly driving the development of improved high performancestructural materials


Composite:


Composite materials (or composites for short)are engineered materials made from two or more constituent materials withsignificantly different physical or chemical properties and which remainseparate and distinct on a macroscopic level within the finished structure. Typically, compositesconsist of a matrixmaterial and a reinforcing material.The matrix and reinforcing materials may be metals, ceramics or polymers, but thecomposites used in aerospace components are fibre reinforced polymer (FRP)matrix composites.
