Abstract:
The increase in demand for better quality and productivity in the apparel industry has prompted the search for a system or concept to meet these requirements. After a prolonged study of several concepts, we have chosen the 5S system as the best one for addressing the challenges faced by apparel industries. In this work, we have planned to implement a concept for enhancing work efficiency, environmental safety, and standard process flow. This work starts with clearing up the company by disposing of wastages, placing tools in order according to the layout, and then cleaning and maintaining the working area regularly. Finally, all activities are measured, and discipline is sustained. Implementing this innovative method reduces wastage, minimizes handling time, and increases the profit of an organization.
