The study was undertaken to design a line of party wear garments using nature as a theme and zodiac signs as inspiration to create a range of cocktail dresses for college-going girls. A cocktail dress, or cocktail gown, is a short-length ladies' gown typically worn at cocktail parties and other semi-formal occasions. In this study, the initial questionnaire was completed by 100 college-going girls from six different colleges in Moradabad. Based on their preferences, designs for party wear dresses and bags were selected.

Subsequently, dresses based on the 12 zodiac categories were created, with a focus on zodiac colors, and rendered on fashion croquis. This process resulted in the preparation of 36 fashion croquis, meaning that for each zodiac sign, three dresses of the same zodiac color were developed. Following this, a survey was conducted to choose one dress in each zodiac sign based on criteria such as aesthetic appeal, uniqueness, and style.

The selected 12 zodiac dresses were then stitched and complemented with potli bags. Quilting and stencil printing of zodiac signs were applied to the bags. Finally, the line of garments and accessories was evaluated among college-going girls in Moradabad, considering factors like cost, marketability, and overall ranking.
