Amit Chotrani is an accomplished educator with over 17 years of experience in higher education globally. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Fashion Design and Higher Education, he holds a master’s degree in Fashion Technology and a Post Graduate Certificate in Advanced Professional Practice in Higher Education from Coventry University, UK, earning him a fellowship with The Higher Education Academy (HEA) in the UK. As an Assistant Professor of Apparel Design at NCERT in Bhopal, Amit also serves as a visiting professor at NID and NIFT. He has developed and delivered modules in Fashion, Textiles, and Multimedia Design across India, Nepal, Oman, Dubai, and Africa, focusing on fashion practice and contemporary design. Amit has actively participated in conferences organised by NIFT, NID, and NCERT, demonstrating his engagement with the academic community. His expertise in Quality Assurance Procedures and the international university system of credit transfer has been honed through roles such as PM/ML at Middle East College, collaborating closely with Coventry University. Passionate about fostering excellence in fashion education, Amit brings a global perspective to his work, recognising the importance of international collaboration. With a robust academic background and ongoing Ph.D. research, he is poised to lead and inspire in any academic setting.
