Dr. Rahdhakrishnaiah Parachuru

Dr. Rahdhakrishnaiah Parachuru is a Ph.D. in Textile Engineering from the IIT, Delhi. His other academic qualifications include M.S. in Decision Sciences (Applied Statistics), Georgia State University, Atlanta, as well as B.Tech. and M.Tech. in Textile Technology, University of Madras.

He has a work experience of more than 3 decades, wherein he has held several prestigious positions like Lecturer in The Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, Professor of Textile Technology in the P.S.G. College of Technology, Coimbatore, Technical Manager in Telengana Textile Mills, Andhra Pradesh, Research Associate in the College of Textiles at Raleigh, North Carolina, as well as Research Scientist at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta. He is currently working as a Senior Research Scientist at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta. Apart from this, he has also served as a Faculty Co-ordinator of industry support activities and has shared a close working relationship with a number of players in the textile industry all over Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Alabama.

He has been honored with several awards such as the awards from the state of Tamilnadu for the best graduate-student project of the year in Textile Technology and the award from the National Textile Center for submitting the best research proposal in the textile fabrication area. He is the member of a number of acclaimed organizations such as Fiber Society, AATCC, ASME, TQCA and the Indian Textile Association. He has refereed several publications.
