R.G. Panneerselvam D.H.T., A.M.I.E., has 25 years of vast experience in teaching and R&D activities at the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, Salem (IIHT), and Weavers’ Service Centres (WSC), functioning under O/o of the Development Commissioner (Handlooms),Udyog Bhavan, New Delhi. After spending a good time serving as Deputy Director (Weaving) at Weavers’ Service Centre, Bangalore; he is recently shifted to Weavers’ Service Centre, Kancheepuram in the same capacity.
His research areas include "Development of New Fabric Structures" using various permutation and combination of drafting and treadling system. Based on his extensive research skills, Panneerselvam has in his credit of about 25 research papers published in various journals and publications about new fabric structures and about the application of software for Computer Aided Textile Graph Designing. After completing Masters of Engineering in Quality Engineering and Management from Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi, he is currently pursuing Ph.D. studies at Gandhigram Rural Institute, Gandhigram, Dindukal Dt. Tamilnadu.
