Shalini Goyal Bhalla is a leading expert in the field of circular economy and sustainability. She is the Founder and MD of International Council for Circular Economy (ICCE), a leading Indian think tank that promotes adoption of circular economy practices globally. As the Managing Director of ICCE, Shalini has been actively involved in developing partnerships with governments, businesses, and non-governmental organisations to advance the circular economy agenda both nationally and globally. She is the author of India’s first book on this topic and has delivered multiple courses, leading to the integration of the circular economy in formal education in India. She is the editor of India’s first Journal on Circular economy that promotes research, innovation and policy. She is a recognised global thought leader with several authored publications on the topic. Her recent paper was published by the Economic Advisory council to the Prime Minister and the G20 compendium. She has been invited by the Finnish Government to lead the Global South discussions at the World Circular Economy forum where she is leading a cooperation of 18 countries.
