In a chat with Fibre2Fashion, Bhagat Textile’s Partner Jitesh Babubhai Bhagat talks about looms and texturizing machines.

How would you describe the current global yarn market?

Textile yarn is majorly used in the textile industry for the manufacturing of home textiles and sportswear. Currently, the global textile yarn market is growing at a significant rate owing to an increase in the demand of home textiles and athleisure wear. It is expected to grow by 5 per cent during 2023-2027.
 

What kind of impact does it have on the demand of texturizing machines and looms?

In looms, there is focus on speeding-up the process of weaving cloth immensely, allowing for more cloth to be produced and at a much faster rate. Also, the process of weaving is being simplified requiring considerably a smaller number of skilled labourers to operate the looms.
Likewise, in texturizing machines, the focus is on providing the important industrial aspects of production, efficiency and best quality.
What kind of impact does it have on the demand of texturizing machines and looms?

Has the demand for machines touched pre-pandemic levels?

Yes, it has already touched the pre-pandemic level, and it is expected to surpass the same this year.

Which are the major markets for your company? Which new ones do you plan to explore?

Our major markets in India are mainly in West, North and South India, where we are present almost everywhere.
In the global market, we presently have a major market share in Turkey, Bangladesh and Egypt. In a very short time, we shall enter in countries like Brazil, Indonesia and Thailand. 

Has the Indian textile machinery industry benefitted from the ‘China plus one’ strategy?

We are well-positioned to become a trusted global partner under the China plus one strategy and are hopeful of becoming a part of the global value chain as far as texturizing machine manufacturing is concerned.

Which are your best-selling products?

Our best-selling products are texturizing machine, air texturizing machine, and double dentistry texturing machine. 

What new innovations and technologies are you working towards?

It is our vision to look after our customers so that they can reduce the cost of production with ‘Good Quality & Critical Business Utility’. Therefore, we have recently developed the ‘YOGA Primary HEATER’ which will reduce the power consumption of the machine. Further, we are in the process to develop the godet drive with auto duffing.

How do you incorporate sustainability and Industry 4.0 into your product offerings?

We are in the process to implement Industry 4.0, which revolutionises the automation, monitoring and analysis of supply chain through smart technology.

What has been the growth story of Bhagat for the last two years? What is the target set for the next two?

During the span of the last two years, Bhagat has grown by 35 per cent. We are aiming to grow by almost double for the next couple of years.

What are the future plans at the company? Any expansion or product launches in the pipeline.

We are currently growing, and definitely we are in the process of expansion. Our new product launching would be visible shortly.
