Italy-based Cibitex is a manufacturer of textile finishing machinery, providing technologies and a range of consulting, and pre and post-sales services. Marketing manager Martina Giorgetti converses about the company's export markets and technologies displayed at the recently concluded ITMA 2019.
Please tell us in brief about your company.
Cibitex was established in 1975 and manufactures pre- and post-treatment machines for digital printed textile fabrics. We have technologies for acid, reactive as well as pigment inks, which includes steamers and washing machines.
What new technologies did you exhibit at ITMA 2019?
We showed a new machine named Easycoat Light for pre-treatment, which is smaller and about half the size of our earlier model. This technology can be used for finishing for acid, disperse and reactive inks. It is an entry level model and needs less investment, and so is affordable.
How many countries do you export to?
We export to around 30 countries around the world.
How many ITMAs have you attended so far?
I am not sure as to how many years our company has been participating, but for me, the 2019 edition is my fourth with Cibitex.
How does ITMA fare when compared to other textile machinery exhibitions?
ITMA is the most important exhibition for us as we also receive buyers from all over the world and most of them are decision makers. (HO)
