From the very beginning, Loris Bellini's aim was to produce dyeing machinery using the best standards of the latest available technology without compromise. So, no aspect was neglected-quality materials, the best technology available and the most skilled personnel. Director Luca Formentini tells Fibre2Fashion about their sustainable technical innovations displayed at ITMA 2019.
Please tell us about your company.
Loris Bellini was founded in 1949 and has always been focused on yarn dyeing machines. During the 1980s we also had some experience with rope dyeing machines, but concluded that it was not our focus area; so, stuck to producing only yarn dyeing machines. We call ourselves the experts in yarn dyeing.
Did you launch any new technologies or did you showcase existing technologies at the recently concluded ITMA 2019?
At ITMA, we showed our technology called Pulsar, which was introduced in 2014. It is a revolutionary version of the standard yarn dyeing machines that we used to manufacture. The Pulsar, when compared with our earlier generations of yarn dyeing machines saves up to 70 per cent of electricity and 30-35 per cent savings in water. Since there is less water inside the machine, it also needs less steam to heat the water and in turn also less amount of chemicals. We believe that the Pulsar is a futuristic yarn dyeing machine. So, we have brought it here again to ITMA 2019, despite showing it at ITMA 2015.
How many countries do you export to?
About 95 per cent of our production is exported to 50-60 countries.
Since when has your company been taking part at ITMA?
This is my third ITMA and I believe Loris Bellini has been a regular since the first or second edition.
What is your opinion of ITMA, when you compare with other textile machinery exhibitions?
ITMA is an occasion where we can meet buyers from around the world. We also get to meet our agents from all countries and also meet colleagues from other companies-all on one platform. ITMA will always remain an important exhibition for our company. ITMA is the only exhibition where we bring all our technologies. Also, we come across mostly decisionmakers at ITMA. (RR)
