Pranav Mishra discusses with Fibre2Fashion the trends for Spring/Summer 2016 in men

Which three trends will define menswear in S/S 2016?

Lace, safari shirts, print-on-print.

What kind of fabrics will be in trend?

Laces will definitely make a mark.

Are there are any particular colours or prints that will be the highlight for menswear in S/S2016?

Florals when it comes to prints, colours would be fresh but grey will continue to dominate.

Will the sporty chic trend continue in fashion?

Sporty chic is too street now, it won't be a statement.

What kind of detailing do you think will be seen in future for menswear?

Sharp and functional.

How trend-sensitive do you think is the menswear market?

The market in India is not trend sensitive, and the global styles on the streets are accepted a little too late. But classics are accepted well.

What according to you will be a classic summer ensemble for a stylish male?

A printed silk double-button suit in pastels.

Which trends will men do good to abide by this wedding/party season?

Men should not fear velvet but at the same time use it wisely.

With womenswear getting androgynous do you think there's a section of fashion that is getting more unisex?

Definitely what with the changing times and the whole gender bender game going strong. Fashion is getting unisex, and is even more exciting from what we had in the past.

How do you try to merge international trends to create garments suitable for Indian customers?

Understanding of body types is critical when it comes to designing for the market because if it does not fit you, then it's not for you.
