‘The Indian elite are used to the luxury of bespoke like no other’
Company Details
How is the market for bespoke and designer clothing in India ? How is the competition in the market?
The Indian elite are used to the luxury of
bespoke like no other and highly skilled craftsmen and designers are available
to convert a dream into an outfit. In the western world its difficult to have
such easy access to master craftsmen and couture. More institutes are creating
a whole fashion infrastructure of teams which is helping established fashion
designers to take their creativity to a new level. Each designer has his own
niche and the only thing they have to compete against is themselves to create
better collections with every new season.
Our autumn winter 2014 collection is
inspired by a time period spanning from the Bell Epoque to the mid eighties.
Divided into five different color stories and being inspired by French
imperialism you will see sweeping long jackets, court coats with interesting embellishments,
exaggerated pleats , bias cut silk sheath , opulent silk and gold thread
embroidery, beautiful silk embroidered velvet corsets with flouncy net skirts,
our signature style that masterfully blends new age silhouettes with classic
colours and crafts, the delicate gold hand embroidery giving a baroque feel .
Rich shades of red , champagne gold, blue , green , grey a marked twist from
their earlier collections.
East meets West is the new “in thing”. A
lot of gowns, maxis, corsets, flared skirts have found place in a bride’s
trousseau. Experimenting with period
European styles very much in fashion. Men have started experimenting with
layering. Short jackets, bandhgalas, waist coats, open sports jackets from
natural wild rich textured silks will be prominent this season. Celebrity
associations are not directly related to profits. But celebrity associations
definitely bring a lot of attention to the brand.
