Description : This hide is chemically de-haired, cured, then stretched and dried for further processing. Upon rewetting and soaking this skin, it can then be stretched and worked in damp condition before redrying. Available in natural amber color in or bleached in large Cowhide sides. They are primarily used for drum making, lampshades, snowshoe webbing, branding, rawhiding of wooden saddle trees as well as raw hide lacing for lashing on log furniture etc.. Weight thickness available in either 3-5 oz or 5-7oz. As these sides are not able to be machine measured due to their dry state, they are priced by the skin depending on size and type.
