Looking at the main components of euro area inflation, non-energy industrial goods are estimated to be at 5.5 per cent, compared with 5.8 per cent in May 2023, and energy at -5.6 per cent, compared with -1.8 per cent in May, Eurostat, statistical office of the European Union (EU), said in a press release.
The estimated inflation rates for June 2023 measured by the harmonised indices of consumer prices (HICP) were the lowest for Luxembourg at 1 per cent and the highest for Slovakia at 11.3 per cent.
