  • He leads four global apparel groups: Pearl Global Industries Limited, PDS Limited, Lerros Moden GmbH and Pearl Academy of Fashions.
  • Pearl Global won the AEPC Excellence Award for highest exports in woven garments.
Dr. Deepak Seth, founder and group chairman of Pearl Global Industries Limited (PGIL), has been recognised as the 'Icon of the Indian Apparel Industry', by the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) executive committee and the Indian apparel industry. The AEPC Excellence Honours award was presented by minister of textiles Piyush Goyal.

Dr. Seth is the founder and group chairman of four renowned apparel manufacturing, sourcing, and training groups operating in over 20 countries: Pearl Global Industries Limited, PDS Limited, Lerros Moden GmbH and Pearl Academy of Fashions. He has established brands and factories globally, including in highly competitive markets like Europe and the United States.

At the AEPC event, Dr. Seth also participated in focus group discussions, where he spoke about attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) in India's textile sector by offering 'Plug and Play' facilities to companies from textile exporting countries. Additionally, he recommended that India focus on man-made textiles to increase exports, noting the limited availability of cotton and the vast potential for man-made garment exports. This shift could diversify India's product range and align with global trends in the man-made fibre-based textile industry.

Pearl Global was also the recipient of the AEPC Excellence Award for Highest Exports in the Woven Garments category. Established in 1987, the multinational textile supply chain company headquartered in Gurugram, has operations spanning eight countries and an annual turnover of $450 million. It annually produces over 70 million units of apparel for some of the biggest brands in the industry.
