Topics covered in the trainings include communicating colour specifications, colour tolerances, instrumentation and visual evaluations. Attendees can register for either the two-day seminar or one of the individual sessions.
“This interactive seminar is ideal for colour specifiers, quality control professionals, lab technicians and anyone who evaluates or approves colour,” X-Rite said.
The session on day one on Fundamentals of Colour and Appearance (FOCA) training, provides an understanding of the art and science of colour, covering the physics of colour, importance of lighting, how to use spectrophotometers and colour data.
On day two, Fundamentals of Instrumentation and Quality Control (FIQC) is a hands-on workshop where attendees use X-Rite spectrophotometers, light booths and software to create colour standards, develop appropriate colour tolerances, measure samples against target colours and analyse the results.
The seminar series will be held in Seattle, Baltimore, Green Bay, Charlotte, Salt Lake City, Los Angeles, Birmingham, San Jose, Toronto, Memphis, Providence, Chicago, Cleveland and New York. (AR)
