The Dusseldorf district court had opened insolvency proceedings for the seven German Esprit companies in August.
Esprit Europe GmbH and six other German companies of the fashion group had filed for insolvency under self-administration in May this year.
The retailer has been an Esprit licensee since 2019 and has been developing and procuring shoe collections with Esprit since 2020.
Esprit said Deichmann is taking over its shoe trademark rights in the United States and Europe, but not operational company shares, according to media reports.
Deichmann is acquiring the complete brand rights, but wants to concentrate on the shoe product area, it said.
Deichmann said the trademark rights for the Esprit textile division will go to brand management company Theia Brands.
Almost all 56 German stores of Esprit are expected to be closed by the end of this month.
