Allaying concerns of its stakeholders on the COVID-19 situation at its manufacturing facility in Minuwangoda, Sri Lanka’s Brandix Group recently said all stipulated protocols were followed while its 341 employees and their families returned to the country from its Visakhapatnam facility on three chartered flights on June 25, August 8 and September 22.

Upon completion of the 14-day mandatory period at a government regulated quarantine facility, a certification signed by the Head of National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 and the Director General of Health Services has been issued to each individual confirming the same.
No visitor travelling from India has entered its Minuwangoda facility during the past two months, it said. The facility did not undertake any orders for its India operation nor does it use any fabric from India, the company added.
Thanking the health authorities and the law-enforcing institutions for the timely action taken, the Sri Lanka Chamber of Garment Exporters, in a statement, expressed solidarity with the Brandix group and all its employees.
