Through develoPPP.de, BMZ gives financial and professional support to companies investing in developing and emerging countries. Under the framework of the development partnership, Eurovet will initiate different activities to promote sustainable and circular lingerie manufacturers from Indonesia and contribute to the development of the Indonesian lingerie industry through awareness creation, capacity building, knowledge transfer, practical implementations and the Interfilière Hong Kong trade fair, according to a press release from Eurovet.
As part of the various activities in this project, Eurovet, in partnership with the international sustainability consultancy suPPPort Ltd will assist 4 selected textile and lingerie supply chain manufacturers (PT Kewalram Indonesia, WSK Winner Sumbiri Knitting Factory, PT Busanaremaja Agracipta and PT Sina Para Taruna) in improving their sustainability strategies according to international markets, enhancing their environmental impact through systematic solid waste and chemical management as well as workers health and safety training.
The selected manufacturers will participate at Interfiliere Hong Kong to strengthen their international competitiveness and demonstrate innovative circular economy solutions. Furthermore, Eurovet has established strategic cooperation with Indonesian Textile Association Asosiasi Pertekstilan Indonesia (API), aiming to connect with apparel manufactures and other interested stakeholders through status quo analysis and regular seminars in Indonesia with dedicated topics.
