Nike athletes made headlines at the Paris Olympics, delivering stellar performances and clinching multiple gold medals across various events. Cheung Ka Long secured back-to-back gold in Fencing, while Jordan Chiles and the USA Women’s Gymnastics Team, as well as skateboarder Yuto Horigome, also claimed gold medals.

Hong Kong’s fencing sensation Cheung Ka Long, a Nike athlete, captivated the world by winning his second consecutive Olympic gold in Men’s Individual Foil. Following a thrilling final bout, Ka Long, who first rose to Olympic glory in Tokyo, once again demonstrated his mastery of the sport. A product of an athletic family, Ka Long’s journey in fencing began at a young age, and his dedication has only grown since becoming a Nike athlete in 2017.

Reflecting on his victory, Ka Long shared his guiding principle, "Don’t lose your way," which has kept him grounded and focused throughout his career. His journey includes victories at the World Cup in 2022 and the Grand Prix earlier this year, setting the stage for his Paris triumph.

Nike athlete Jordan Chiles played a crucial role in helping the USA Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Team secure the gold medal in the team final. The team, known for their consistent Olympic success, reclaimed the top spot after winning silver in Tokyo. Chiles, who competed in all four events, dazzled the crowd with her hip hop-inspired floor routine, scoring an impressive 13.966.

For Chiles, the Paris Games were about finishing what she started in Tokyo with newfound confidence. "Going in with that confidence, putting my foot down and saying, ‘This is who I am,’ and then showing it to the world," Chiles said in a pre-Olympics interview.

Japanese skateboarder and Nike athlete Yuto Horigome claimed his second Olympic gold in the men’s street competition. Horigome, who made history by winning the first-ever Olympic gold in skateboarding at Tokyo 2021, wowed the audience with a flawless nollie 270 noseblunt slide, catapulting him from seventh to first place in the final moments.

Horigome’s victory is a testament to his philosophy of self-belief. "Having trust in yourself is the most important thing — having the confidence to believe in yourself," he shared. As a Nike athlete since 2016, Horigome’s journey has been marked by his relentless pursuit of excellence.
