British clothing company Next plc has announced the appointment of Jeremy Stakol as the new executive director, effective April 3, 2023. In his role as the group investments, acquisitions and third party brands director, Jeremy will be responsible for maximising the business opportunities at main board level.

In his new role, Jeremy will be responsible for investments and acquisitions in third-party brands, promoting the Total Platform to potential new clients, selling all third-party fashion brands on Next’s website, developing Lipsy and other wholly owned non-Next brands, and overseeing overseas wholesale, franchise, and licencing of Next-branded stock.

Jeremy holds a master’s in professional accounting and started his career in the finance department of a media company. He joined Lipsy as managing director in 2004, and 14 years later, the company was acquired by Next. In more recent years Jeremy has successfully led many of the recent new investment deals and related Total Platform opportunities (such as Joules, Victoria's Secret, Gap and others), Next plc said in a statement.
