The government will soon notify the extension of duty drawback of taxes (DDT) under the Prime Ministers Export Package.

According to Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers Association (PHMA) chairman Khurram Anwar Khawaja, the associations earlier used to certify the authenticity of information provided by the exporting units and verify the claim documents.
As the responsibility of checking the authenticity of claims and scrutinising documents shifted to banks, that led to errors and delays, Pakistani media reports quoted Khawaja as saying. (DS)
