Only 35 per cent production capacity in Bangladesh’s readymade garment (RMG) industry has been booked for the consolidated period of July-December this year, according to the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), which recently said a mere 56 per cent of the total production capacity is being utilised this month.

The huge shortfall in orders in the market has also made RMG prices to fall, Bangla media reports said quoting BGMEA.
The price trend has been showing a 14-per cent dip on an average in the second half of 2020 as compared to last year.
