Bangladesh commerce minister Tipu Munshi recently stressed on the need to sign a free trade agreement (FTA) with South Korea to boost bilateral trade and investment. The minister said this while meeting with South Korean ambassador to Bangladesh Lee Jang- Keun in Dhaka. Several South Korean companies are working in Bangladesh, including in the garments sector.Bangladesh readymade garments are being exported to South Korea and there are many opportunities to increase such exports, Tipu was quoted as saying by Bangla media reports.
The envoy said Bangladesh has achieved remarkable success in the last 10 years and its development is now visible.
