US based producer of advanced materials using biotechnology, Bolt Threads will unveil a limited edition knit necktie made of 100 per cent Boltspun spider silk at the SXSW 2017 trade show. The silk for the necktie has been produced by humans using the company's proprietary technology and is a culmination of seven years of research and design.
