Lanigan is the former chair of Tennessee Education Lottery Commission, and has also served as the executive vice president and general counsel of Dollar General Corporation from 2002-2013. She was involved in strategic planning and growth initiatives at Dollar.
Prior to Dollar, she was the general counsel for Zale Corporation. She has two major acquisition’s strategic planning to her credit at Zale.
She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia, School of Law, and cum laude from University of Georgia.
“Throughout her career, she has also been a strong partner to boards and management, advising on strategic planning, business analysis and governance matters,” Shelley Broader, president and CEO of Chico's FAS commented on her appointment.
“Susan brings a remarkable record helping prominent national retailers successfully navigate complex legal, compliance and regulatory issues,” Broader added.
