Chinese company YiXin Bangladesh will set up a shoe accessories manufacturing industry in Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) Economic Zone (EZ). It will invest $7.45 million to produce 10 million pairs of footwear materials annually. The company will create employment opportunities for 1,509 Bangladeshi nationals.In the presence of BEPZA executive chairman major general Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, an agreement to this effect was signed between BEPZA and YiXin Bangladesh at BEPZA Complex, Dhaka. Member (investment promotion) of BEPZA Ashraful Kabir and managing director of YiXin Bangladesh Jian, Zaiyi signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations, BEPZA said in a press release.

Till now, a total of 32 companies, including YiXin Bangladesh signed agreements to invest in the BEPZA EZ with a total proposed investment of $718.46 million.
