This segment now faces stiff competition from large format graphics printers, particularly those with PET (polyethylene terephthalate) features, which offer lower investment costs and enhanced capabilities, leading to a growing preference for these alternatives over traditional DTG machines. Furthermore, the direct to shape (DTS) printer shipments experienced an impressive 89.3 per cent YoY growth, driven by the rebound of the MICE sector and a rising demand for customised print-on merchandise.
In the textile segment, industrial textile machine shipments recorded a strong 42.5 per cent YoY growth. China, with the largest share in this sector, saw a 25.4 per cent growth, fuelled by the demand for local brands that offer competitive pricing advantages over traditional brands. India's market also witnessed a significant 91.2 per cent YoY growth, largely due to an increasing demand for ladies' apparel and sportswear printing.
The digital label and packaging segment saw a 19.7 per cent increase in printer shipments YoY, propelled by the growth in consumer goods exports throughout the region. The large format product category reported a 22.6 per cent increase YoY, with both CAD and Graphics printers experiencing growth.
