Fibre2Fashion, the leading portal for the global textile-apparel industry, is organising a webinar to understand that the future holds for the industry, and how it needs to work together for revamping the entire value chain. Titled 'Reboot – Rebuild – Rebound: Fashion industry ready for Resurrection?', the webinar will be held on June 10 at 5.00 pm IST.

Panellists for the webinar are: Rubana Huq, president of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA); A Sakthivel, chairman of India's Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC); Stephen Lamar, president & CEO of American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA); Matthijs Crietee, secretary-general of International Apparel Federation (IAF); and Hoang Ngoc Anh, acting general secretary, Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS).

"The COVID-19 pandemic has delivered a shock to the global economy and to the broader fashion industry. As a result, dominant concerns like sustainable materials sourcing, carbon reduction, and workers’ rights have been temporarily kept aside as businesses are scrambling to manage their operations and economic distress. In short, the industry is in survival mode and now the time has come to ponder on the strategies for moving from 'survival' to 'revival'," said Fibre2Fashion executive director Jose Daniel.

The virtual panel discussion will deliberate on the current scenario in the apparel industry, redefining the supply chain, accelerating the shift to digital, challenges ahead, focus on the future, and apparel industry in 2025.
