Hugo Boss aims to reduce its total water consumption by 40 per cent by 2025, and WRSD will contribute to this goal with competence and technology support. Hugo Boss' ultimate goal and vision is to be completely climate neutral by 2050, WRSD said in a press release.
“We are really looking forward to starting the collaboration with the iconic brand Hugo Boss that has also incorporated sustainability into its core values, which of course is close to our hearts,” said Andreas Andrén, CEO of WRSD.
In November, Hugo Boss entered the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) World for the fourth year in a row. It was one of the four companies in the textile, clothing and luxury segment to qualify for the index. The fashion brand was also listed in DJSI Europe for the first time this year.
As per an assessment by S&P Global, Hugo Boss improved significantly compared with the previous year in terms of sustainability and received ‘best in class’ in several categories.
WRSD offers sustainable colouring methods for synthetic textiles that reduce the environmental impact.
