Indian menswear brand Blackberrys is targeting a 60 per cent growth in the next two years to reach ₹1,500 crore turnover by fiscal 2019-20 by expanding sales network, according to company director Nikhil Mohan. The company, which closed the last fiscal with a revenue of around ₹900 crore, has plans to add 100 new stores in the current fiscal.

In the planned 100 stores, 35 will be company-owned and rest will be franchise-operated, according to a news agency report.

Started in 1991, Blackberrys now operates 240 brand stores from which 185 are company-operated stores and the rest run by franchise. It is now planning a push down south, where it has low presence.
Online sales contribute around six per cent of the total sales, Mohan added.

Blackberrys expects accessory products sale to grow up to 10 per cent of its total stores' sale from the present 7 per cent. It recently revamped its brand image by adopting a new logo and tagline. (DS)
