In FY22, the company’s ordinary income and net income reached all-time highs of 11.6 billion yen and 10.5 billion yen respectively, Descente said in a media release.
These financial achievements follow a year in which the company heavily focused on restructuring its Japanese business operations to improve profitability.
“In FY2023, we will focus on branding as the final year of D-Summit 2023. If we succeed in branding, the DTC ratio in Japan will increase, and profits will increase in Korea and China. If this happens, the scenery we see will change completely from what we have seen before, and we will be able to see what we need to do anew. I'm looking forward to thinking about future management,” said Shuichi Koseki, president and representative director.
